Welcome to Iowa City!

For over seventy years, Iowa Medical Partners has existed as a nonprofit organization for the spouses and partners of the physicians- and dentists-in-training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

The primary goal of Iowa Medical Partners has been to serve and support the families of medical students, residents, and fellows through our interest groups, social functions, and philanthropy service events. From Book Club to Entertainment Club and Man Date to Play Group, there is plenty here for everyone! We hope to see you soon!

Dear Partner of Future Resident,

Congratulations on your match! Welcome to Iowa City! Now what?

The transition from medical school to residency is exciting AND stressful, but we’re here to help. As a network of Iowa City’s medical trainees’ spouses and significant others, members of Iowa Medical Partners have gone through the same thing and have the survival skills! We know the area, and have contacts and relationships with area businesses and services. We can help you cross off the items on your to-do list. Whether you’re the breadwinner of the relationship or you stay home with the little rascals, Iowa Medical Partners can be your one-stop organization to gain the information, support, and stress relief you’ll need now and throughout this journey.

NEW THIS YEAR – Match Partners!

We are pleased to introduce Match Partners -- an opportunity especially for new IMP members who are just moving to the Iowa City area! New members will be matched with a current member who can come alongside them to answer questions and give guidance as they move to a new home and transition to a new season of life.

Match Partners are available to anyone who joins Iowa Medical Partners before July 1, 2013.
